About the Role:
A leading international company is urgently hiring experienced Ship Hull Welders for ongoing shipbuilding and ship repair projects in Europe.
Position: Ship Hull Welder (135 / 136 / 138)
Salary & Benefits:
• €8 – €10 NET per hour (depending on experience and welding test)
• Minimum working hours PM – 200 hours
• Accommodation provided by company

Welding Processes:
• Mandatory: – 135 – MAG welding (solid wire)
– 136 – MAG welding (flux-cored wire)
– 138 – MAG welding (metal-cored wire)
• Advantage:
– 131 – MIG welding (aluminium)
– 141 – TIG welding
Work Scope
• Welding of:
– Hull sections and blocks
– Plates and stiffeners
• Structural reinforcements
• Repair welding and corrections (if required)
• Grinding and cleaning of welds
Job Requirements:
Education & Certification
• Valid welding certificates according to ISO 9606-1 (steel)
• Ability to work according to WPS (Welding Procedure Specification)
• Knowledge of welding symbols and technical drawings
• Safety certificates (e.g., VCA or equivalent)
Work Experience
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in:
– Shipbuilding or ship repair
– Heavy steel structures
Experience welding:
– Hull structures, plates, stiffeners, frames, bulkheads
• Experience with:
-Carbon steel and high-strength shipbuilding steels
Technical Skills
• Welding positions:
– PA, PB, PC, PF (136/138 highly preferred)
• Ability to perform:
– Fillet welds
– Butt welds (with/without backing)
• Reading and interpreting:
– Welding drawings
– Isometric and structural drawings
• Proper joint preparation and fit-up understanding
• Ability to control:
– Distortion and shrinkage
Standards & Quality
• Work according to:
– ISO / EN standards
– Shipyard and client specifications
• Understanding of:
– Visual inspection (VT) requirements
– NDT preparation (UT, MT – basic awareness)
• Ability to maintain consistent weld quality
Safety Requirements
• Strong adherence to HSE rules
• Experience working in:
– Confined spaces
– Heights
• Proper PPE usage at all times
Language & Mobility
• Basic English (for communication on site)
• Willingness to work in international shipyards (EU)
• Flexibility for shift work and overtime
Personal Qualities
• Precision and responsibility
• Ability to work independently
• Teamwork skills
• Good physical condition
Optional (Strong Advantage)
• Experience with aluminium structures (131)
• Experience with TIG welding (141) for piping or thin materials
• Valid shipyard approvals (e.g., DNV, RINA – advantage)
• Experience in dry dock projects
